Made for 2026 ChickenGuard openers
A dedicated 3W solar panel for the 2026 All-in-One and PRO auto door openers. Look for the sun symbol on your opener’s label to confirm you have a 2026 model.
- High-efficiency monocrystalline cells: wired in series with a high-transmission, anti-ageing front film for reliable output and a long working life.
- Built for the outdoors: IP65 weather-rated and tested to operate from -20°C to 65°C, so it keeps working through British winters and summer heatwaves alike.
- Fully adjustable mount: tilt up to 90° and rotate left or right to catch the most direct sunlight, then lock it firmly in place with the locking screw cap.
- Generous 3m cable: built-in cable with a standard 5.5mm/2.1mm DC connector lets you position the panel where the sun is, not just where the coop door is.
- Compact and lightweight: just 170 x 116 x 15mm and 196g, so it mounts neatly on a coop, fence post or wall.
- Everything you need to install: comes with mounting base, universal joint, socket nut, locking screw cap, screws, wall anchors and rubber stoppers.
Important Information
This Solar Panel Kit is compatible with 2026 All-in-One and 2026 PRO auto door openers only. To check, look for the sun symbol on your opener’s label. If it isn’t there, your unit is an earlier model and this kit won’t work with it.
For best results, mount the panel in the spot that gets the most direct sunlight throughout the year, angled upward at around 30° and facing south. Keep the surface clean with a soft cloth or sponge, cleaning more often in dry, dusty months, and avoid using a pressure washer.

Excellent service
My old chicken guard was playing up. I called chicken guard and was given some excellent help in how I might resolve the issue. However my old guard only worked for one more day. The new one was easy to attach to my plastic coop, easy to set up and works really well. I know my girls are safe in their coop and if I’m a bit late up they will be able to come out once the door opens for a peck around until put their foot out.

Good door opener
Works well so far, opens at 6am & shuts when it starts getting dark. A good plus is, it’s saving me a job 👍

Mr
As with previous ones it was easy to set up and give security to my fowl. I hope it last a long time. My last one lost so many pixels from the screen after 4 years that it became unusable.

Chicken Guard Pro
Had the ChickenGuard Pro installed for a couple of weeks now and so far so good. Easy to install especially as I was able to use my existing coop sliding door. Had to make a small adjustment to the light sensor to ensure the chickens were roosting befor the door closed for the night, but this was straight forward. The set-up uses the solar panel option and despite the gloomy February days the batteries have remained charged.
In a nutshell, very pleased so far.

Can't fault their Aftersales service
So many companies just want to sell their product and then you are on your own - not so with Chickenguard, No matter when you purchased your item they are always there to answer questions and give advice.

Mr
This is our second unit so obviously we like them. We got the solar panel with this one and I have to say the panel looks cheap but let's see how it does.

Great but needs some tweeks needed
I love this and it really helps. Two tweeks would improve it. I got the automated version this time where it opens & closes with the light. Pm is great (70lux) but am with not open until it's at least 200 lux. So the door does not open on cloudy days. It should be 70 lux aswell. Secondly is door calibration. It tells you you can start moving the door up or down, but that is not accurate as the second option is always the same (I forget if it's up or down). So I often have to do this twice.

Best chicken gadget on the market
No more 6am early rises. Such a great idea. We set the timer through the year so the girls get maximum outdoor time. We always check on them at night and usually manually override the close. On the evenings we’re out it really does give peace of mind. Not a chicken lost to foxes etc since we’ve had it installed. The pro is our second one as the original was 6 yrs old.
