Had the ChickenGuard Pro installed for a couple of weeks now and so far so good. Easy to install especially as I was able to use my existing coop sliding door. Had to make a small adjustment to the light sensor to ensure the chickens were roosting befor the door closed for the night, but this was straight forward. The set-up uses the solar panel option and despite the gloomy February days the batteries have remained charged. In a nutshell, very pleased so far.

This is our second unit so obviously we like them. We got the solar panel with this one and I have to say the panel looks cheap but let's see how it does.

excellent device just does what is says on the box. Chickens are happy they are let out first light rather than waiting for me!

The solar array works well and although facing southeast, it achieves the desired charge levels. It is our second unit and we are very happy.

All the components obviously designed by the company are excellent quality and convey a reliable product. However, the little solar panel is obviously cheap and tacky, letting the whole side down and I will no doubt be resourcing a compatible alternative within a year or two. Otherwise the product is great, well made and works well. It is also a shame how the literature is not quite up to the same release level as the product. Would I recommend, yes but with eyes open if going for the solar version
