What a great device. I’ve had one before many years ago. The new model is even better. Love the fact that you can have a solar panel incorporated which saves worrying about battery power. Great product, thank you!

Seems excellent but it's only been up and running for a couple of weeks. There are no cords or strings lifting or lowering the door so I like that although like a previous review the solar panel seems cheap and flimsy. It so far works well. The only other point I would make is that the 'extension kit'. This comes with a 1.5m extension cable for the programming unit that otherwise sits in the front of the actual door itself. I did not see, nor can I still reference to the cable only being 1.5 m long so be aware of that. It's pretty short and for my circumstances was useless. I tried using my own (ethernet) cable of a longer length but that would not work. Don't bother with that unless 1.5m (or less) extension works for you.

Received the Chicken Guard (set on timer). Very simple to set up, put together and fit. Works like a dream.

Good product made well works well simple to use probably last a good while for not a bad price

The door is really well made, the solar panel is cheap and flimsy so don’t expect it to last very long.

No early mornings and no worries about forgetting to shut them in at night. I hope it will survive the winter. Very clever system.

We (and the chickens) just love their new door. My husband couldn't believe how simple it was to install, and, because the door faces east, we bought the extension kit which enables the solar to be pointing south, just around the corner, on another side of the coop.
