Great piece of kit (we now have 3 of them) but could be improved.
Every few weeks one of them loses track of it's position and has to be re-calibrated, which is annoying.
An option to link to home automation or an app would be useful.
The main issue is Lux+ mode. This closes at the earliest event eg light drops low OR a timer is set. It would be better if it closed at the LATEST of these events. Eg it is either dark OR it is eg 10pm. We found 3 coops closed and the chickens all sat not knowing how to get in as the daylight level had dropped a bit, but they were not ready to go to bed. Better would be the timer as a fall back. We simply stopped using LUX+ and now only use the timer.

The door is fantastic . It’s great have the peace of mind knowing my girls are safely locked away from predators.

My only comment would be that it was not the easiest to programme, as some of the stages were not clear in the instructions.

However, customer services were fantastic, talking me through the procedure over the phone.

I would thoroughly recommend the Pro Kit Door!!

I’ve now had 3 chicken guards over a period of 10 years. They are quiet in operation and reasonably easy to set up. I’ve had small reliability problems hence the 3 units.
In my humble opinion these are the best of its kind in the market.
